Gringos was founded by longtime friends, Jeremy DeNardo and Greg Walls. The two originally met while in high school as wrestlers for opposing schools. Unbeknownst to them, they shared very similar upbringings in that, from a very young age, each supported the running of his family’s restaurant business in all ways.
 
Years later, Jeremy and Greg reconnected during the summer months at the shore as Jeremy returned from Brazil to work in the bar and restaurant scene on the Seaside Heights boardwalk while Greg helped run the kitchen at his family’s restaurant in Lavallette. The two share a common bond in their love for traveling and a passion for food, so when the opportunity to join forces presented itself they jumped in head first.
 
Having shared many a taco in their travels together, the idea to bring it back to the place where they grew up was an easy choice, and the name and concept followed naturally. The scene is now set for Jeremy and Greg to follow in their fathers’ footsteps as successful restauranteurs. Building on their combined passion, complimentary strengths and attention to detail.
